The Tigers committed early turnovers and missed open threes, all while the Wildcats made tough shots and took care of the basketball. The result was a 10-point lead by Kentucky at halftime, a lead they ultimately held on to. Auburn made runs in the second half, but they were answered by Kentucky time and time again. In the end, the Tigers fell 68-59. The Tigers fell to 20-6 overall and 9-4 in SEC play, while the Wildcats improved to 18-7 overall and 8-5 in SEC play.
