Rapid reaction: No. 13 Auburn handles Georgia on Senior Night
AUBURN -- For the eighth straight season under Bruce Pearl, Auburn basketball ended the regular season with a win, as the No. 13 Tigers controlled Georgia from start to finish to complete the season sweep. Auburn jumped out to a 14-4 lead and never looked back, taking a 45-31 lead into halftime and ultimately winning 92-78. Auburn is now 8-2 in regular season finales under Pearl. The Tigers improve to 24-7 overall and 13-5 in SEC play. Georgia falls to 16-15 overall and 6-12 in SEC play. Auburn's 13 conference wins ties the SEC win total of the 2017-18 SEC championship team for the second-most conference wins under Pearl. The 2021-22 team won 15 SEC games on the way to a conference championship. Auburn moves to 15-1 inside Neville Arena on the season and improves to 45-3 at home over the last three seasons.
