Social Slant: Twitter reacts to Auburn's SEC Tourney loss to Arkansas
Auburn fought. Auburn scraped. Auburn never quit.
But in the end, Auburn couldn’t get past Arkansas.
Once down 15 points in the second half, the Tigers took the lead with 43.2 seconds left on a bucket by guard Allen Flanigan. But the Razorbacks outscored Bruce Pearl’s team 4-0 the rest of the way to claim the SEC Tournament second-round win.
Final score: Arkansas 76, Auburn 73.
Guard KD Johnson led the Tigers with 20 points. Flanigan added 15. Forward Johni Broome (13 points) and guard Wendell Green (11) also scored in double-figures.
Auburn didn’t shoot poorly. In fact, the Tigers made 49 percent of their field-goal attempts. They also only turned the ball over 10 times.
