Subscribers Only: 5 questions with Auburn OL target Gernorris Wilson

LAKELAND, FLORIDA — One of our main goals at Auburn Live is to create a unique community on the message boards whereby the link between our staff and the subscribers constantly is open. But now, we’re taking things to another level. Rather than just being able to communicate with us, we want you to connect with some of our interview subjects.
From time to time, we’re giving you the Auburn Live subscriber an opportunity to have your questions answered by Tiger commits and top targets.
Tuesday, we asked subscribers to submit their recruiting (or other) questions for offensive line target Gernorris Wilson, a 3-star prospect at Lakeland High. Auburn Live selected five of those questions and then asked them to Wilson — one of Auburn’s most important targets in the 2023 class — following his practice.
It was a fun segment. But also, an informative one from which you might learn a few new things about Wilson.

Wilson has skyrocketed up the Auburn board in recent months and has become a priority for offensive line coach Will Friend and offensive analyst Joe Bernardi. The Tigers offered him during an unofficial June visit and he returned for Big Cat in July.
All indications are, that visit went extremely well.
Auburn has emerged as the team to beat for the Sunshine State product
The Tigers have lots of momentum and are trending up. In fact, they’re probably the team to beat. He plans to officially visit them on Sept. 17 for the Penn State game. North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Oregon and UCF are others to watch. At this time, UCF could be Auburn’s main competition but Wilson’s offer list continue to grow.
Wilson is the No. 66 offensive tackle recruit nationally and No. 149 prospect in the state of Florida for the On3 Consensus. Auburn leads big in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a projection to the Tigers of 99.5 percent.
