Takeaways: Bruce Pearl previews the start of Auburn's basketball season

AUBURN -- The next Auburn basketball season is only days away. The exhibition opener against Auburn University-Montgomery is on Wednesday at 7 pm inside Neville Arena. Bruce Pearl met the media on Monday to chat about his team with only days until tipoff. "We're ready to play someone else," Pearl said. "We had our private scrimmage on Sunday (Auburn beat Furman, 110-77) and without going into details, we played well. We played hard and really well.
