BREAKING: Tennessee 3-star QB Hank Brown commits to Auburn
Hank Brown, a three-star quarterback from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn., will sign with Auburn on Wednesday.
Brown announced his commitment to the Tigers on Tuesday, choosing Auburn over UAB and Pitt, among others.
“I chose Auburn,” Brown told Auburn Live. “I’ve prayed about it at times and know that at Auburn I’m going to go and be put in uncomfortable situations. And the past two years of my life, I’ve lived by the quote, ‘At the edge of uncomfortable is where you find greatness.’
“I feel like at Auburn I’m going to be able to grow and develop into a great person and a great quarterback.”
Prior relationships big for Brown
Brown had previously been committed to Hugh Freeze at Liberty. He also has had a long-standing relationship with quarterback analyst Kent Austin.

“I know these coaches are amazing, and not just as coaches, but people as well,” he said. “Coach Freeze is super authentic. Coach Austin is my guy. He’s been with me throughout this whole process at Liberty and now at Auburn.
“Coach (Philip) Montgomery, the new OC, he’s just an amazing person and has a a great track record as an offensive guy.”
Brown is the No. 70 quarterback recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Brown, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, will enroll at Auburn in the summer.
“I can’t wait,” he said. “It feels amazing. It’s a great sigh of relief. Auburn is the best, in my opinion, so I couldn’t be happier signing with them tomorrow.”
