Texas 4-star CB Braxton Myers includes Auburn in top 7
Braxton Myers, a 6-foot-1 188-pound 4-star DB from Coppell, Texas has narrowed his list down to 7. With so many offers, this was a big cut. Not only did he cut many schools, he’s also got a commitment decision in mind.
Auburn made the cut for the Texas prospect who visited Auburn in March. The No. 119 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings for the class of 2023 will be making his commitment decision on May 16. The Tigers are firmly in the mix to contend for that commitment.
Myers’ top schools
Myers has over 25 Power-5 offers. The list of qualifiers has been cut down and Auburn is in yet another one of their top target’s top lists. That list includes Auburn, Arkansas, California, Clemson, LSU, Ole Miss and USC.
As of right now, USC is the heavy leader in the On3 RPM. They currently sit at a 73.5 % chance of landing Myers. Next in line is Clemson at 22.3%. There are currently two expert predictions in for Myers. One of them is for USC and one for Clemson.

Auburn is still in the mix due to a relationship with secondary coach Zac Etheridge. The Tigers hosted him on a weekend in March where he was able to sit through position meetings and be on the practice field to see how they run things. He left with Auburn as one of his top schools and that was reflected in his latest announcement.
It is not yet clear if Auburn pushed heavily for him to commit. USC appears to be the leader and they will more than likely be the choice when he makes his commitment. Auburn will continue to recruit as the defensive back boards continue to play out. He could be someone they turn the heat up on at some point.
