BREAKING: Texas transfer defensive lineman Trill Carter commits to Auburn

Texas transfer defensive lineman Trill Carter has committed to Auburn football.

Carter, who has one year of eligibility, announced his decision Monday on social media.

Originally from Leesburg, Ga. (Lee County), Carter transferred from Minnesota to Texas and recorded nine tackles with 1.5 for loss and one sack for the Longhorns this season.

Prior to his time in Austin, Carter played in four seasons with the Golden Gophers. There, he recorded 56 tackles with 8.0 for loss, 4.0 sacks, and added one interception. 

Carter was ranked as the No. 895 overall prospect, the No. 89 defensive tackle, and the No. 93 player in Georgia in the 2019 On3 Industry Ranking.

He is the second transfer commitment for Auburn on Monday. Former Maryland tight end Rico Walker committed to the Tigers earlier in the day.
