The primer: Auburn welcomes Virginia Tech for SEC-ACC Challenge

AUBURN -- For the second time in six games to start the season, Auburn basketball (4-1) will face off against an ACC foe as Virginia Tech (5-2) enters Neville Arena for a 8:15 pm CT tip on Wednesday night. This is the first time Auburn has hosted an ACC opponent since beating NC State, 79-73, on Dec. 19, 2019, at Neville Arena. This is the ninth all-time meeting between Auburn and Virginia Tech, but the first in 24 years. The Tigers hold a 6-2 advantage versus the Hokies including a 76-74 victory in 1973 in their only previous home game in the series.
