On my mind: Transfer portal crunch time for Auburn football, basketball

For both Auburn football and basketball, it's getting into crunch time for the spring transfer portal window. The football spring portal window opened on April 15 and closes on April 30. It's a shorter 15-day period following the 45-day window that opens and closes in the winter. The basketball spring portal window opened on March 13 and closes on May 11. It's a longer 60-day portal window. This is the first academic year that the windows for non-grad students have been in place. Last year, without the window, 1,292 Division I men’s scholarship basketball players entered the portal in March and April, with 805 of those coming in March.
