Instant impressions

Auburn opens with two road games in the first four weeks. That’s fairly unusual for Auburn. Fortunately, the league gives Auburn a bye in week five, which is early by Auburn schedule norms.

At Texas A&M and hosting Georgia is about as tough an opening two games can get in conference play. Then after the bye week, Auburn goes to LSU. A three-game losing streak and 0-3 start in conference play isn’t out of the question at all.

It’s a balanced schedule in terms of road and home games.

Following the Georgia game, it’ll be three weeks before Auburn plays their next home game.

Insanely early prediction (given the current outlook of Auburn’s roster next season): 7-5 overall, 3-5 in SEC play.
