Tigers offer emerging receiver from Tennessee
Chance Fitzgerald is having a monster senior season and colleges have taken notice. Several of them in fact.
Thursday, schools such as Michigan and Syracuse offered the unrated receiver from Nolensville, Tn.
And, so did Auburn.
It came on the same day Auburn offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Eric Kiesau visited Fitzgerald’s school. It should be noted that while On3 has yet to rate Fitzgerald, other sites have and most view him as a 3-star prospect at this time.
Fitzgerald now claims 30-plus offers and multiple schools are expected to either stop by his school this week or watch him play in person Friday night.
The reason? As we said, his on-field performance this fall has gotten the attention of many.
Fitzgerald, listed at 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds, already has recorded 71 receptions for nearly 1,000 yards though eight games.

Auburn has two receivers currently committed: Four-star Adam Hopkins of Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas Country Central and 4-star Daquayvious Sorey of Chipley (Fla.). The Tigers had a third receiver committed in 4-star Karmello English of Phenix City (Ala.) Central, but he backed off that pledge earlier this season, which created an extra opening in the class. Hopkins and Sorey appears to be solid to Bryan Harsin’s program. As for English, at last check it seemed unlikely he would be part of Auburn’s 2023 recruiting class when all was said and done.
According to our intel, it’s too soon to know what type of interest Fitzgerald would have in Auburn. That’s because the Tigers’ pursuit of him only recently began, Auburn Live has learned.
His senior season highlights, which were posted Thursday, already have generated more than 3,000 views as of 6 p.m. CT. His film, which you can find HERE, is terrific.
Fitzgerald unofficially visited the Virginia Tech Hokies last weekend.
