Top 60 overall recruit Dashawn Womack includes Auburn in top schools
Recently offered 4-star EDGE Dashawn Womack released his top schools on Friday. Auburn has once again made the cut. Womack, for those that don’t know, is the No. 58 player in the nation regardless of position according to On3. He is the No. 9 EDGE in the country.
Womack is a 6-foot-4 245-pound EDGE target form Baltimore, Maryland.
Womack’s top schools
Womack’s top schools are not your run-of-the-mill top 10. He has an interesting array of schools in the mix. His top 10 includes Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Temple.
Womack was offered by Auburn on April 14 just a week ago. It is interesting that Womack decided to keep the Tigers alive after only being offered for that long. He seems to be wide open as far as his recruitment goes and the On3 RPM reflects that. There are 5 schools all around the same percentage. Two of which, Penn State and West Virginia, didn’t make the cut.

Roc Bellantoni in it with top EDGE recruits
New EDGE/OLB coach Roc Bellantoni has been giving out offers since taking the job. He has aimed high and for the most part hit high. He is certainly a top target moving forward. Communication did not begin with the offer. Womack and Auburn were familiar with each other before the offer went out.
Based on intel from those close to his recruitment, Womack is absolutely open to Auburn. That, of course was reflected when the Tigers were included in his top group. The academics and ability to come into a position with little depth is intriguing. Look for him to make a trip to campus in the near future.
