The Auburn Tigers take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, coming off their first SEC win of the season. Head coach Hugh Freeze previewed the matchup against the Commodores in his weekly press conference, which you can watch below.

Auburn scored 24 straight points to defeat Kentucky 24-10 Saturday at Kroger Field, moving the Tigers to 3-5 overall and 1-4 in SEC play. A trio of Auburn standouts, Jarquez Hunter, Izavion Miller and Keldric Faulk, earned SEC weekly honors after the Tigers’ win. Freshman cornerback Jay Crawford also got plenty of recognition

“Jarquez (Hunter’s) performance, one of the best in school history,” Hugh Freeze said. “I think it’s the most rushing yards in SEC play in Auburn history, is what I was told. Fourth-most in school history, and his second-half performance is the best in school history. That’s great for Jarquez. I think he took the lead in rushing in the SEC after the game. He’ll be announced as offensive player of the week today. Too Tall (Izavion Miller) will be announced as offensive lineman (of the week), then Keldric Faulk, defensive lineman. So it looks like we swept those awards this week, that’s good to see. And I think Jay Crawford is national freshman of the week. He’s getting better and better. So a lot of good things.”

Auburn is ready to get back to the friendly crowd at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“Obviously excited for our fans, so many made the trip. That was pretty amazing to see,” Freeze said. “I’ve gotten used to it now. We have the greatest fans. Really excited to be back in Jordan-Hare after what seems like a year, and we’ll need them Saturday. We need them to make it loud Saturday and make it difficult for the opponent that’s coming in here, which is Vandy. And obviously they’re playing at an extremely high level right now.”

Hugh Freeze and the Tigers take on No. 25 Vanderbilt at 11:45 a.m. CT on SEC Network and the Auburn Network.
