BREAKING: WR Sam Turner flips commitment from Georgia Tech to Auburn

Southwest DeKalb (Atlanta, Ga.) wide receiver Sam Turner has flipped his commitment from Georgia Tech to Auburn.
Turner, who had been committed to Tech since June 9, announced his decision Thursday on social media.
“Just how Auburn is, how they do things and the love they have been showing me,” he told Auburn Live of why he flipped his commitment to the Tigers. “And Coach (Marcus) Davis, basically. He has given me good advice. He has shown me how I would fit into the offense. It’s all about fit.
“Also, if you want to be the best, you have to play the best and the best is in the SEC.”
Auburn last week received a commitment from four-star quarterback Deuce Knight.
“Deuce helped, for sure,” Turner said. “And Alvin (Henderson). They hit me up and gave me more good stuff to like about Auburn and asked me what I was waiting on.”
Davis played major role in Turner’s commitment
And then Davis made a trip to Atlanta on Thursday. It was the final thing Turner needed to see to flip his commitment.

“He drove all the way to come see me,” Turner said. “He came to the school and then watched me practice again. That meant a lot to me.”
Turner and Davis have developed a strong bond throughout Turner’s recruitment.
“Coach Davis is a man of his word,” he said. “Everything he said he stood on. He sees things in me that I don’t even see in myself. I feel like he will develop me to be a better receiver and a better man. I also like what he has done with Keandre Lambert-Smith. He could see me stepping into that role.”
Turner said he is fully committed to Auburn. He will take his official visit the weekend of Nov. 1-3. Auburn hosts Vanderbilt on Nov. 2.
“I’m done,” he said.
Turner is the 27th commitment in the Tigers’ 2025 class and second wide receiver, joining four-star Derick Smith.
