Florida Gators Win Total: How Many Wins Does Billy Napier NEED In 2024 For Fanbase To Be Happy?

On Monday, On3 updated its On300 2025 rankings and three Florida Gators commits are included.

Surprisingly, two of those Florida commits, wide receiver Joshua Moore and defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins, did not move up nor down in this latest rankings release.

Moore, a big-bodied target from Pembroke Pines (Fla.) West Broward, checks in as On3’s No. 57 prospect overall. He is also the No. 9 wide receiver in the 2025 class.

Landing Moore on June 26 over schools like Florida State, Georgia and Miami was a statement victory for Florida. He remains as Florida’s top-ranked commit with On3.

Tallahassee (Fla.) Rickards’ Wiggins has also been a mainstay in the national rankings, as he has been positioned in the top 100 for quite some time. The Gators love his versatility up front but are primarily recruiting him to play the EDGE position.

Wiggins, 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, remains as the No. 91-ranked prospect overall. He did, however, move up one spot in the positional rankings and is now the No. 8 defensive lineman.

Exactly a week ago, Wiggins reaffirmed his commitment to the Florida Gators and shut down his recruitment. Florida State and Stanford were on his radar and played host in June, but Florida has been the most consistent for nearly a year and hosted him more than anyone. That was big news in Gainesville.

Tae’Shaun Gelsey is breaking through as a national prospect

The newcomer to the On300 is one of Florida’s two tight end commits and another Sunshine State native, Tae’shaun Gelsey. Now being in the group, the Jacksonville (Fla.) Riverside is a 4-star prospect as well.

Prior to Monday, Gelsey did not have a national ranking and was On3’s No. 45 tight end. Now, our network labels him the No. 263 prospect overall and No. 19 tight end. That is a positional ranking boost of 26 spots, making him one of the biggest risers in the latest release.

For those who have been following along at Gators Online, you likely read our analysis on Gelsey and why we are very high on him as a prospect. Remember, he is a productive wide receiver who will be transitioning to tight end in college. The upside is there.

Gelsery does a nice job of timing his jump but also extending out to beat his opponent to the ball. At 6-foot-4, he is already taller than most defensive backs he faces, so exploding and making using of his length adds even more difficulty for the defense.

You need big-bodied pass catchers who can win 50/50 balls, and Gelsey does exactly that.
