Ahead of the start of official visits, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas 4-star CB Justice Fitzpatrick is focused on five programs. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Fitzpatrick is looking closest at Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, and Texas. Fitzpatrick has known official visits scheduled to Georgia (May 31), Miami (June 5), Florida (June 7), Texas (June 13), and Ohio State (June 20). After those visits conclude, Fitzpatrick is expected to go into decision mode.

“Just straight interest,” Justice Fitzpateick told On3 when asked what he’s looking for from official visits. “Showing things that really fit me — the community, coaches, and what’s around the program.”

Deron Wilson has high interest in Justice Fitzpatrick

The top 100 recruit in the class of 2026 added his offer from then-UF assistant coach Will Harris back in January. Since taking over as the new cornerbacks coach earlier this year, Deron Wilson has taken over the Gators’ efforts. Wilson was already settled when Fitzpatrick’s last visit, and it was the first chance for them to make a connection.

“We’ve been talking a lot back and forth on the phone,” Justice Fitzpatrick told Gators Online in March. “Even when I went up there not too long ago, we had some time together and talked a lot. He sat down with me and my dad, just talking about life and not even just about football. He’s a great dude. I sat through some of the meetings with him, and he really broke things down really well with (co-defensive coordinator and safeties) coach (Vinnie) Sunseri.

Florida head coach Billy Napier also has a connection

Florida head coach Billy Napier also has some ties to the 6-foot, 185-pounder’s family. He was on staff at Alabama when his older brother, Minkah Fitzpatrick, was a recruit. The visit in March allowed Napier and the Fitzpatricks to reminisce on memories of former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. Napier talked about things he learned from Saban and gave the family a look at his personality.

“When we met, he was a really good guy with the same belief system that me and my parents really like. We had the chance to sit down and talk with him, and really like the type of man and coach he is. I also got to talk to him by myself, and we had a great conversation as well.

The On3 Industry, a weighted average of the four major recruiting services, ranks Justice Fitzpatrick the nation’s No. 62 Overall player.
