4-star WR Tramond Collins commits to Florida Gators

The Florida Gators have scored their first commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, and it’s a big one. On3 4-star receiver/athlete Tramond Collins of Cottondale (Fla.) announced via social media Saturday evening that he has committed to Billy Napier’s program.
He was among the biggest UF targets to attend the Grill in the Ville recruiting event this weekend in Gainesville. Collins actually gave the Florida staff word he would be a Gator during that event.
“I liked it a lot,” Collins told Gators Online. “Everything was cool and the coaches were cool. [Receivers coach Billy Gonzales] was cool. He was real excited after I told him I committed.”
Collins is the No. 4 athlete and No. 105 overall player in the 2027 class for On3. He is the No. 9 rising junior in the state of Florida.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Collins had 13 catches for 402 yards (30.9 yards a reception) to go along with 661 rushing yards on 31 carries (21.3 yards a rush) last season. He scored 15 offensive touchdowns. Additionally, Collins recorded 33 tackles and an interception on defense.
Of note, Collins also is a standout basketball player at Cottondale. He averaged 13 points a game as a sophomore.
“I talked to my parents and stuff about [committing to the Florida Gators],” Collins said. “This is like my fourth time being up here. I just felt comfortable with the school and like the coaches and everything.”
Collins said he chose the Gators over Tennessee.
