5-star OT Felix Ojo arrives in Gainesville for Florida Gators official visit
It’s a big recruiting weekend for the Florida Gators and the biggest name has just arrived in Gainesville. That player is 5-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo of Mansfield (TX) Lake Ridge.
Of the seven prospects expected in town, Ojo is the only 5-star. He’s the No. 3 tackle and No. 5 overall recruit nationally for the On3 Industry Rankings. Florida co-offensive line coach Jonathan Decoster recently visited Ojo in Texas. Ojo has visited the Gators just once prior to this week. That came in April.
This is Felix Ojo‘s second trip to Gainesville
“I would just say it was a great experience coming down to Florida,” Ojo told Gators Online about his April visit to Gainesville “It was the first time coming to Florida, so it’s a great, beautiful place. The campus is great and the facilities are top tier. Just really watching the spring game and watching them get after it was a great experience in all.”
On that visit, the Gators pitched their need.
“(The) message was that I’m a top priority and I have a good chance of coming here to compete for an early spot and play early,” Ojo said. “That’s really the main message they’ve been sending. I could really come here and play as a true freshman and ball out as a freshman.”

Florida was included among Ojo’s top eight schools earlier this year. Texas and Ohio State arguably are the two programs to watch at this time.
