After just two UF players attended last year’s NFL Scouting Combine, Florida will more than quadruple that amount this year.
The NFL released the list of players invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday and nine Gators are included.
Here are the UF players heading to Indianapolis:
QB Graham Mertz
RB Montrell Johnson Jr.
WR Elijhah Badger
WR Chimere Dike
OL Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
DL Cam Jackson
LB Shemar James
CB Jason Marshall Jr.
P Jeremy Crawshaw
A total of 329 prospects have been invited to attend this year’s event, which will take place in Indy from February 24 through March 3.
Florida defensive back Trikweze Bridges did not receive an invite but could be another draftee for the Gators. ESPN’s Mel Kiper said Bridges is “very underrated” as a prospect.
Florida could make history with draft class
After having just one player selected in the 2024 NFL Draft for the first time since 1980, the Gators could produce one of their best draft classes in program history this year.
Florida has a chance to tie the school record for the most picks in the common draft era.
UF has had nine players selected three times, once under Steve Spurrier (1992) and twice under Urban Meyer (2007 and 2008). Eight players have been selected nine times (eight in the common draft era).

Florida’s school record of 10 selections came in 1978 when the draft was 12 rounds long, and only six of those players were chosen in the first seven rounds, which has been the draft’s length since 1994.
The Gators could produce nine selections in 2025 for just the fifth time in school history (third since 1994) and have the potential to reach double-digit picks for the first time in the seven-round draft era.
Florida can tie the school’s most picks since 1994 if all of the NFL Scouting Combine invitees get drafted. Should Bridges get selected as well, UF would match the program record from the 1978 NFL Draft.
