Another Florida Gators starter ruled out for the LSU game
The Florida Gators issued their initial availability report Wednesday night along with LSU. It’s the first of four injury reports that will be released before the Gators (4-5, 2-4 SEC) face the No. 21 Tigers (6-3, 3-2 SEC) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
UF starting quarterback DJ Lagway (hamstring) is questionable for the second week in a row along with starting running back Montrell Johnson Jr., starting receiver Elijhah Badger and starting right guard Damieon George Jr., all of whom missed the Texas game.
Florida will be without another starter this week, as sophomore linebacker Grayson Howard has been ruled out for the LSU game. Gators Online has learned that Howard was injured last Saturday at Texas, which is why he played a season-low 17 snaps.
Howard has 37 tackles on the year with only one missed tackle and a team-high PFF tackle grade of 87.5. With him out, sophomore Jaden Robinson will make his first start of the year. He has 36 tackles and ranks second on the team with an 83.7 tackle grade.
The Gators now have 11 players out, including eight starters. Those numbers could grow to 15 and 12 depending on what happens with Lagway, Johnson, Badger and George.

LSU has seven players out. Offensive lineman Tyree Adams is listed as questionable, while receiver CJ Daniels, safety Dashawn Spears and linebacker West Weeks are all probable.
