Behind the scenes from Tim Tebow’s NCAA Football 11 photoshoot
Tim Tebow played his final Florida game in the 2010 Sugar Bowl win over Cincinatti, but that wasn’t the last time he suited up for the Gators. He wore his uniform for one more occasion: a video game.
Tebow landed the cover of NCAA Football 11, which was released 13 years ago on July 13, 2010. Some behind the scenes pics from his photoshoot with EA Sports were shared on Thursday.
“Love that game. So grateful for that opportunity!” Tebow wrote on his Twitter account in response to the post.
Tebow’s all-blue jersey and pants in the photoshoot actually wasn’t used for any of the covers. The Xbox 360 was a shot of him in Florida’s Nike Pro Combat uniform from 2009, while the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 covers featured Tebow in all-white throwing and running, respectively.
Months prior to the release of the video game, Tebow was a first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft after winning two national championships, two SEC titles and a Heisman Trophy during his decorated Florida career (2006-09). He played three seasons with the Broncos and Jets and also spent some time with Patriots, Eagles and Jaguars.
After a decade hiatus, the NCAA Football video game is set to return in the summer of 2024. EA Sports shut down production of the game in 2014 after losing in the Ed O’Bannon lawsuit.

The documentary will chronicle the 2006-2009 teams under Meyer, which included two national championships, two SEC titles, a Heisman Trophy winner and an undefeated regular season in that four-year span.
In addition to Meyer and Tebow, the documentary will feature interviews with players such as Dallas Baker, Brandon Siler, Brandon Spikes, Ahmad Black, Major Wright and Brandon James, former coaches and media members, along with behind-the-scenes footage from 2006-09.
“At first I said no, when they asked me to take part in it,” Meyer said on the Buddy Martin Show. “And then I thought, wait a minute, you know, there’s been so many comments about that team and, quite honestly, ridiculous comments about that team. So, I said I am going to do this because all I care about is honoring them.
“That ’08 team, that will go down as one of the great teams in college football history. That ’06 team, think about what they did. They came out of nowhere and went on to beat the No. 1 team in the country soundly. So, I did it and they (Netflix) were great to work with.”
