Betting on the Gators: Early betting odds revealed for 2022 football season
We are just 54 days away from the Florida Gators kicking off the 2022 season against Utah but you can start wagering on the Gators right now.
Monday, Fan Duel released hundreds of betting lines for the 2022 college football season, including six Florida Gators games.
The Gators will have a tough schedule in 2022. It opens with the defending Pac 12 Champions in Utah. Includes a date with the defending National Champions and trips to Knoxville and College Station. Florida, however, will get to play seven of its first eight contests in the state of Florida. They only have three true road games, with one of those being against Vanderbilt.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the betting lines.
Utah @ Florida
Line: Utah -1.5
O/U: 53
Billy Napier’s debut game won’t be an easy one. Fan Duel has the Gators as a 1.5-point underdog to the visiting Utes. Utah returns most of the 2021 Pac 12 Champion roster, including quarterback Cameron Rising. The fifth-year junior completed 63.8% of his pass attempts for 20 touchdowns to just five interceptions in 2021. The Utes have a lot of hype surrounding their 2022 team, given the number of returners they have but will face a tough opener on the road.
The Utes will get to avoid the blistering heat with a 7:00 pm kickoff, but that just means rowdier Florida Gators fans in the crowd for a night game that starts a new era.
Kentucky @ Florida
Line: Gators -4
O/U: N/A
The scenes in Lexington were legendary if you were a part of Big Blue Nation. They made you sick if you are a fan of the Gators. In four short years Dan Mullen managed to do something Steve Spurrier, Ron Zook, Urban Meyer, Will Muschamp, and Jim McElwain never accomplished. He lost to Kentucky. Then doubled down and did it twice.
Credit to Mark Stoops. He’s spent more than a decade building the Wildcats’ program and they have certainly become more formidable. This season the Gators will look to avenge the field storming loss from 2021 and get back to winning ways against the Cats.
LSU @ Florida
Line: Florida -3
When the Gators and Tigers get together on the football field you can throw anything you think you know out the window. Chaos will ensue.

Kirby Smart reveals latest on Georgia WR
The Tigers have won three straight games in the series and seven of the last 10. That includes a game in 2020 that LSU had no business winning in the Swamp. It also includes a game in 2021 where Ed Orgeron had already been fired before kickoff. It’s been a miserable few years for the Gators against the Tigers. This year they’ll get LSU back in the friendly confines of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, looking to put an end to the skid.
Florida vs Georgia (In Jacksonville)
Line: Georgia -15
Yikes.
Florida @ Texas A&M
Line: Texas A&M -7
The Gators have played the Aggies more times since Texas A&M joined the SEC in 2012 than they have played former traditional rival Auburn. This will be the Gators’ third trip to College Station in a decade.
The Aggies have a quarterback battle between LSU transfer Max Johnson and Haynes King. They’ll have a stout offensive line and a good group of running backs behind them. Playing in College Station is a tough task. The game also comes directly after the Georgia game, so we’ll see where Florida is physically and mentally after a matchup with the Dawgs.
Florida @ Florida State
Line: FSU -2
This one is a bit surprising. The Noles haven’t found much success or much of anything with Mike Norvell. The Noles are 8-13 and 6-10 in the ACC under Norvell. FSU is putting all its chips in on quarterback Jordan Travis, who led the Noles to a 5-2 record down the stretch.
The Gators have won three in a row against FSU.
