WATCH: Billy Napier previews Las Vegas Bowl matchup with Oregon State
LAS VEGAS — With Amari Burney and Richard Gouraige by his side, Florida coach Billy Napier and his team captains previewed the Las Vegas Bowl against No. 14 Oregon State on Friday at the Kickoff Media Conference.
Napier also paid tribute to the pair of seniors who committed to playing the game and finishing out the 2022 season.
“We’re really excited to have a couple of our senior captains here and really special in that their players voted on that. These guys represent our team,” Napier said. “I think one of the things that I hear from our players is the importance of sending out a couple of these guys. It’s gonna be their last opportunity, and certainly we’ve got a good group of players that will be coming back. So, bowl games I think present opportunity and that’s the way we view this game.”

Billy Napier opening statement
“I think having been to a few bowls throughout the years, I just want to compliment SRS Distribution, The Las Vegas Bowl, the staff here, it’s been phenomenal. Certainly, a great experience to offer not only our entire organization but the players as well. Really looking forward to the matchup. A ton of respect for what we see on film from Oregon State. A formidable opponent, so much respect for what Coach has done there in the last couple of years. We’re really excited to have a couple of our senior captains here today and really special in that their players voted on that. These guys represent our team. Amari Burney’s a senior linebacker and Richard Gouraige is a senior left tackle.”
