On Monday afternoon, On3 rolled out the updated On300 rankings for the class of 2024. The Gators currently hold just two commitments for next cycle, but both of them were included in the latest update.

Myles Graham, a Florida legacy and highly-regarded linebacker from Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy, is now listed as the 70th-ranked player overall. He climbed 18 spots after previously checking in at No. 88.

Equipped with four stars, Graham is the son of former Gators running back Earnest Graham. He made his decision on Aug. 14 and was the first 2024 prospect to join forces with Billy Napier’s program.

Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Texas are just some of the additional schools pursuing the Peach State native.

“The coaching staff is a great. I believe they will bring back the Swamp and they will revive the Swamp into what it was before,” Graham told On3 when he committed.

“The Florida fanbase and the players and staff, they showed a tremendous amount of love. They welcomed me as their own every time I go there, so that played a huge role. And obviously, the legacy, it can benefit me in many, many ways, on and off the field.

“All the pieces just fell into place and I felt it was the right move for me right now.”

The other prospect in UF’s class, four-star running back Chauncey Bowens, checked in as the 287th-ranked prospect regardless of position. Unfortunately, the North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School standout dropped 128 spots from his previous ranking. It’s also worth noting that several of Bowens’ games have been either canceled or rescheduled due to inclement weather.

So, when it’s all said and done, I could see the 5-foot-11, 210-pound ball carrier climbing back up the rankings. He boasts intriguing size for the position but also has some bounce in his game and shows an impressive burst and acceleration once locating a lane. He also rushed for nearly 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore and hails from the same school that produced Kaiir Elam.

There is a lot of potential when dissecting the skill set of the South Florida native. His blend of open-field speed and physical makeup somewhat reminds me of UF running back Montrell Johnson.

In addition to the Gators, Bowens has collected offers from Miami, Florida State, Auburn, Louisville, West Virginia, Illinois and Indiana among others.

“It’s just one of those elite schools, one of those elite programs you want to play for,” Bowens previously told Gators Online. “Just legendary, honestly, it’s just legendary. I mean, the team, look at Tebow and all those guys, that great team they had.

“A lot of the stuff, like, when you think of the Florida Gators, that’s what you think of. It’s just one of those elite schools. Like one of those elite programs that you want to play for.”
