BREAKING: 7-foot-2 center John Bol commits to Florida Gators
Todd Golden and the Gators landed a huge commitment on Saturday, both literally and figuratively, as 7-foot-2 center John Bol pulled himself off the market in favor of the Orange and Blue.
A native of South Sudan, Bol last visited Florida in April and is eager to assist Golden in pushing the Gators back into the national conversation. He still has another year of high school left on his plate but is eager to relocate to Gainesville.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bol is the No. 28 overall prospect and No. 2 center in the 2024 class.
“I feel like Florida is the best fit for me and my skill set. Ultimately, going to the league is my goal and I feel Florida can get me there,” Bol told On3’s Joe Tipton.
“I am blessed and excited to be going to Florida. I can’t wait to start winning championships and bring the old winning days back to Florida.
Bol, a four-star prospect from Wichita (Kan.) Sunrise Christian, possesses additional offers from Missouri, Michigan, Wake Forest, Texas, UConn and USC among others.
Bol is represented by Level 13 Agency for NIL
“I am thrilled to announce I have signed with Level 13 Agency to represent me in marketing and branding,” Bol said in a graphic released on social media. “As a basketball player, I understand the importance of having a strong team behind me. I’m confident that Level 13 Agency has the expertise and resources to help take my career to the next level.”
Pete Nakos, who covers college sports business for On3, recently shared details regarding Level 13 and its background.

“Based out of Lubbock, Texas, Level 13 made headlines when it fundraised and facilitated $25,000 NIL deals with each member of the Texas Tech women’s basketball team,” said Nakos.
“Co-founded by Kirk Noles, the agency has committed to working with a number of high school and college athletes, including quarterback Tyler Shough and wide receiver Jerand Bradley.”
Scouting Report
John Bol is a unique athletic specimen. At over 7 feet tall, his agility and his ability to move are not like other players his size. He has defensive upside as a weak side rim protector. He is someone who can move his feet when switching along the perimeter.
Bol will need to add strength; he is currently very thin. He gets moved off his spots on both ends of the floor easily. The added strength could help him become a better post-defender and finish better in the paint.
Offensively, Bol is at his best with putbacks and in lob situations. His offensive game is pretty limited right now. He has touch but needs to develop his range and some low post moves. However, his height allows him to be a vertical lob threat. He has good hands and dexterity in the air.
Bol has an intriguing upside. His flashes are starting to produce now with more strength and continued minutes and reps. There is a lot of ceiling to fill.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
