The Louisiana migration to Gainesville continued with the addition of Bri Wade.

Wade was named the Director of On-Campus Recruiting and Football Events on Tuesday.

She spent the last two seasons (2020-21) with Napier at Louisiana, where she held the title of “director of on-campus recruiting” and played a vital role in landing the No. 1 class in the Sun Belt in back-to-back years. Wade’s role is similar to the one Lee Davis held at Florida and will be critical in all official and unofficial on-campus visits. Wade won’t serve as a primary recruiter, but, along with Katie Turner, will be the brains behind a prospective athlete’s experience in Gainesville.

She joined the Ragin’ Cajuns after spending the 2019 season as a football recruiting assistant at Mississippi State. Previously she was a graduate assistant in the office of institutional diversity and inclusion in Starkville. She was also a student recruiting assistant for the Bulldogs from 2014-18, working under former Florida coach Dan Mullen.

A native of Byram, Miss., Wade was a participant in the 2020 NFL Women’s Career in Football Forum and 202 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar. She’s also a member of the Women Leaders in College Sports.

With the addition of Wade, Napier has now hired 13 off-the-field staffers. Wade, Turner, Jacob LaFrance, Ashour Peera, Doug Domingue and Andrew Burkett will all deal closely with recruiting.

Napier has also added seven on-field coaches, with an eye on several current NFL assistants to round out the staff.

Patrick Toney (Co-Defensive coordinator/safeties) and Corey Raymond (cornerbacks) are the only two defensive coaches that have been hired. Jabbar Juluke (running backs), Darnell Stapleton (offensive line), Keary Colbert (receivers), and William Peagler (tight ends) round out the rest of the staff.

Additionally, Napier has tapped Mark Hocke to run the strength and conditioning program. Hocke will be joined by Joe Danos, Karmichael Dunbar and Edward Thompson.
