Friday in Raleigh, N.C. the Florida Gators will begin play in the NCAA Tournament for the 25th time when UF, 30-4 and the No. 1 seed in the West Region, faces 16th-seeded Norfolk State. Here are some numbers of note for the Florida program.

UF boasts an NCAA Tourney winning percentage of 68.57

OVERALL NCAA TOURNAMENT RECORD: 48–22 on the court. However, UF’s appearances in 1987 and 1988 have been vacated by the NCAA so the Gators record is 45–18.
NATIONAL TITLES: 2 (2006, 2007). That is tied for ninth all-time in college basketball. UCLA leads all programs with 11 NCAA Championships.
FINAL FOURS: 5 (1994, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2014). That is tied for 18th. North Carolina has the most with 21. Houston has the most Final Four appearances (six) without winning an NCAA title.
ELITE EIGHTS: 9 (1994, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017). Kentucky has the most with 38. Florida’s total ranks tied for 19th.
SWEET SIXTEENS: (1987*, 1994, 1999, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017). Kentucky has the most with 44.
