Contract details for Russ Callaway, Florida Gators assistants

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Seven assistant coaches for the Florida Gators have higher salaries in 2025, including Russ Callaway. He was promoted to offensive coordinator this offseason, which Gators Online first reported in February, and has received a raise.
Callaway signed a new two-year deal worth $1.4 million. He will earn $675,000 this year and $725,000 in 2026 after making $550,00 last season as co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. Gators Online received the contract details for Callaway and UF’s other assistants on Thursday.
Florida executive head coach/defensive coordinator Ron Roberts receives a $200,000 raise in 2025, the second year of his contract. He earns $950,000 this season after bringing home $750,000 in 2024. His defense was decimated by injuries last year but played well down the stretch.
Defensive line coach Gerald Chatman, who was pursued by the Chicago Bears and LSU this offseason, signed a two-year deal worth $1.625 million. After making $575,000 last season, his salary will also jump by $200K this year to $775,000 and again in 2026 to $850,000.
In addition to Callaway and Chatman, four more assistants received a raise for 2025 in running backs coach Jabbar Juluke, wide receivers coach Billy Gonzalez, EDGE coach Mike Peterson and quarterbacks coach Ryan O’Hara, along with director of strength and conditioning Tyler Miles.
Juluke received a $200K raise as well, signing a two-year, $1.325 million contract worth $650,000 in 2025 and $675,000 next year. He made $450,000 last season.
Gonzalez, who earned $500,000 last season in the second year of his deal, signed a one-year contract that will pay him $525,000 in 2025.
Peterson signed a two-year deal that pays $575,000 in 2025 and $600,000 in 2026 ($1.175 million total). He earned $550,000 in 2024.
O’Hara is the seventh UF assistant making more in 2025 after being promoted to QB coach. His two-year deal pays him $275K annually.
Miles is making $450,000 this season on a new one-year contract after $400,000 in 2024.
Florida assistant offensive line coach Jonathan Decoster signed a one-year extension through January 2027. He will earn $350,000 this season before his salary increases to $425,000 in 2026.

UF offensive line coach Rob Sale has a two-year deal worth $1.65 million. After earning $1M last season with the Co-OC title, which he no longer has, Sale will make $800,000 in 2025 and $850,000 in 2026.
Contract details for new Florida assistants
New Florida co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri signed a two-year, $1.425 million deal. He will earn $675,000 this season and $750,000 in 2026.
New UF co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Robert Bala will receive $1.225 million on his two-year deal. He makes $575K this year and $650K next year.
New Gators defensive backs coach Deron Wilson inked a two-year, $1.075 million contract. Wilson will make $525,000 in 2025 and $550,000 next year.
