Current Florida Gators bowl projections

After recording upset wins over LSU and Ole Miss, Billy Napier’s Florida Gators team became bowl eligible. Then, they finished off FSU to cap the regular season. In which postseason game might the Gators, now 7-5, land? Here are some current bowl projections.

ReliaQuest Bowl: Michigan (7-5) vs. Florida (7-5)
Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Fla.
When: Dec. 31
411: Both teams have played challenging schedules. Florida has two wins over ranked teams in six games; Michigan also went 2-4 against ranked teams, with its biggest win coming last weekend over No. 2 Ohio State. Michigan has losses to the teams currently ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in the College Football Playoff Rankings — Oregon and Texas, along with No. 9 Indiana. The Gators have lost to the teams at Nos. 2, 5, 7 and 12.

Las Vegas Bowl: Washington State (8-4) vs. Florida (7-5)
Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nv.
When: Dec. 27
411: Washington State closed the regular season with three straight losses, to New Mexico, Oregon State and Wyoming by a combined seven points. These two programs have never faced each other.

Gator Bowl: Duke (9-3) vs. Florida (7-5)
Location: EverBank Stadium, Jacksonville, Fla.
When: Jan. 2
411: Duke is 9-1 vs. unranked teams with the only loss coming to Georgia Tech. Blue Devils quarterback Maalik Murphy has thrown for 2,933 yards with 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The Gators are 3-2 all time vs. Duke, with the last wins coming during the terrific Florida seasons in 1974 and 1975. The 1975 game was the most recent meeting between the programs.
