Daejon Reynolds will enter the transfer portal
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida redshirt freshman receiver Daejon Reynolds will enter the transfer portal. On3’s Hayes Fawcett was the first to report.
Reynolds will have to wait until December 5 to officially enter the transfer portal. That is the first day that players who have not graduated yet can officially enter the transfer portal.
Reynolds announced his decision on Twitter.
“First I want to thank everyone in the Florida football program for everything they’ve done up to this point. For helping me academically and athletically from the strength staff, all the way down to the trainers.
“The relationships I’ve made with great people and the memories with teammates that I can call my brothers is like no other.

“With that being said, I would like to announce that I have officially entered the NCAA transfer portal with 3 years of NCAA eligibility, and where ever my next destination is, they will honestly get not only one of the best players on the field but an even better person off the field.”
Reynolds at Florida
Reynolds enrolled at Florida in 2021. He made his collegiate debut at South Florida and caught his first career pass. He played in just one game as a freshman while earning a redshirt. In 2022, Reynolds struggled to find the field before injuries began to decimate the receiver room. He played in eight games this past season. Reynolds recorded eight catches for 165 yards and two touchdowns at Vanderbilt. Reynolds’ performance was the highlight in a season-worst loss on the road. He recorded 2 catches for 74 yards vs. Eastern Washington and recorded one catch for 5 yards vs. Utah in the season opener.
“He had some good players in front of him. He’s got character, he works, and then today, when given an opportunity, he stepped up and made some plays, so, another young player who hasn’t played a lot in the past but he was ready for his opportunity today, and it was great to see,” Billy Napier said of Reynolds. “He dropped the one early, we go right back to him and he made the play there late. So, Dae Dae’s a good player and he was ready when given the opportunity today.”
