Quotable
“I always felt the love from Florida; I just had to take a step back and make sure I made the right decision. I feel like they are a team on the come up who can be a real contender in the future. Also, just the city and town. You can really tell it’s a Gator town. I know (when) I do end up in Gainesville, I’ll be good.”
Scouting Report on Michai Boireau
Boireau takes up a whole lot of space and does a good job of blowing up the offensive line.
Once he gets his hands inside and starts working up the field with a bull rush, it’s typically over his opponent. He commands double teams and does a nice job of collapsing the pocket. Boireau is a nightmare to deal with once getting downhill with momentum.

For a bigger prospect, I also like Boireau’s ability to keep eyes forward and find a lane to the ball carrier. He shows active hands to disengage and then quickly pounces on the ball carrier. Once Boireau gets ahold of those skilled players, it’s very rare they get away. He is a load to deal with and does a nice job of shedding offensive linemen. His strong hands at the point of attack definitely stand out.
Once Boireau gets into UF’s strengthing and conditioning program, I think his game will take off. Even dropping 20-30 pounds will improve his conditioning and allow him to stay on the field longer. He is a difference maker along the defensive interior who has a reputation for blowing up plays. He will remind many of current UF defensive lineman Desmond Watson. — COREY BENDER
