Earnest Graham, UF great and signee's parent, critical of Gators
Wednesday marked National Signing Day, and although the Gators signed one of the top linebacker classes, their expected positional coach is no longer there.
Jay Bateman, who had served as UF’s inside linebackers coach, is now in College Station as the Texas A&M defensive coordinator. It was a no-brainer move back to being a coordinator.
However, the timing of the move and how UF is handling the situation is why a signee’s parent is quite upset.
That parent is former Florida running back Earnest Graham, the father of Gators linebacker signee Myles Graham.

Below is the social media post from the former Florida standout:
“My son was raised to understand the business as it exists but there has been new levels of disconnect with this program that I have NEVER ever experienced,” said the elder Graham.
“No calls, no communication and the driest experience imaginable. I’m just going to START there.”
Myles, an Under Armour All-American from Gainesville (Fla.) Buchholz, was the first prospect to sign with UF on Wednesday and first verbal commit over a year ago. He was also the final in-home for Billy Napier.
It will be interesting to see where this goes from here. GO is definitely keeping close tabs though. The other linebacker signee for UF is fellow UA All-American Aaron Chiles.
