The Florida Gators have been one of the top pipelines for NFL teams in the last decade. In the modern draft era, the Gators have produced 53 first-round draft picks and 87 picks in the first two rounds.

Needless to say, the NFL loves the Gators and the University of Florida has consistently recruited and developed talented players. Among SEC teams, only the Alabama Crimson Tide has produced more first-round picks than the Gators. Only four schools nationwide have had more first-round picks than the Gators in the modern draft era.

This year Florida has a chance to add to that number. Cornerback Kaiir Elam has been thought of as a first-round lock for most of the year. As the draft nears, Elam is a borderline first-round pick but was mocked to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round this week.

“Whatever team drafts me, will get the best out of me,” Elam said in a well-produced video this week.
