Fans can soon purchase player personalized Gators jerseys
For years the University of Florida Bookstore has sold generic Florida Gators jerseys but that is changing.
Now Gators fans can buy and personalize a game jersey with the name and number of their favorite player. Thanks to Name, Image, and Likeness legislation, student-athletes will be able to benefit monetarily from the sale of their jerseys.
Florida has partnered with Fanatics and OneTeam Partners in the venture that will begin prior to the 2022 season. Fanatics will work with Jordan, the official uniform partner of Gator football, on the blanks, and fans will be able to order jerseys with the name of any players that opt into the group licensing program through OneTeam.
Fanatics is well known and has been a supplier of Gator merchandise for years. The company is the global leader in licensed sports merchandise and is building the leading global digital sports platform – featuring the largest selection of officially licensed fan merchandise – to create interactive, lasting fan experiences which also helps partners establish better direct-to-consumer relationships in today’s highly competitive world

Gators have had this framework ready since September
The Gators have been readying for this move since last September.
Florida announced a group licensing deal last September with The Brandr Group. The deal will allow student-athletes across all 21 sports to make money from jersey sales.
This new venture will be just for football but the older framework still will allow for other student-athletes to join.
