Florida announces the signing of JUCO offensive lineman Jordan Herman
On Tuesday afternoon, the University of Florida announced the signing of Jordan Herman, a 6-foot-8, 370-pound offensive lineman who committed to the program in early May.
Several weeks later, the South Carolina native journeyed down to Gainesville for his official visit, solidifying his pledge to the orange and blue. He is already enrolled on campus as well.
Herman, who recently wrapped up his time at Hutchinson Community College, earned additional offers from the likes of Arkansas State, Houston and Incarnate Word.
“My overall experience on my visit was amazing. It felt like I was at home as soon as I stepped foot on campus,” Herman previously told Gators Online. “The things that impressed me the most were things like the academic center, and of course the field was beautiful.
“I spent the most time with the o-line coaches: coach Stapleton and coach Sale. I also spent a good bit of time with coach Napier. We went axe throwing and also ate at some good restaurants. I toured the campus, city of Gainesville and loved every second of it. I had good talks with all the coaches and staff.”

If all goes as planned, Herman will be kicking off his career at offensive tackle; however, the SEC program is not ruling out a switch to guard at some point as well.
“They like me at tackle for the most part,” Herman said. “The things they said they like about my game are my athleticism, hand placement, base and things of that nature. Also, my aggressiveness on the field.”
Herman joins a 2022 offensive line recruiting class that features Louisiana transfers O’Cyrus Torrence and Kamryn Waites, as well as high school signees Jalen Farmer, David Conner and Christian Williams.
According to On3’s rankings, Herman ended the recruiting process as a three-star prospect.
“I’m super excited to be a part of Gator Nation,” Herman said. “The support from the coaching staff and academic staff definitely reassured me that I made the right choice even though I had no doubt in mind.”
