Florida Gators announce a sellout crowd for FSU game
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida’s upcoming rivalry game against No. 4 Florida State on Nov. 25 has been sold out, the Gators Ticket Office announced on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN.
The sellout is the fifth consecutive this season and ninth overall under coach Billy Napier. There were four games sold out in his first season last year after UF had just four sellouts from 2018-21.
The FSU game will close out the regular season and will serve as Senior Night. Fans are encouraged to wear blue.
Napier thanked the fans after the Tennessee game for their impact in Florida’s 29-16 win.
“This is a really unique experience in the Swamp Saturday night relative to our fans. They put on a show for the entire country to see,” he said. “They impacted our team, brought a lot of energy to our players, created momentum in the game, and certainly made it very difficult for Tennessee. Caused procedure penalties. Ultimately, they were a part of the plan and did their part. Can’t compliment them enough.
“When you get texts from people that have been around here for a long time, they tell you that’s the best it’s been in 15 years, I think you’re probably doing something right. So, our fan base was incredible,” Napier said. “That’s what the University of Florida football can be. We need to do that more consistently. Certainly, as a staff and team we can do our part.”
Earlier this year, the Gators Ticket Office announced sellouts of student season tickets for the second straight season under Napier and for the third consecutive year.
