Florida Gators announce future games with FAU, South Alabama

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators have officially scheduled two future home games for the next two years. UF will host Florida Atlantic on Sept. 5, 2026 and the University of South Alabama on Sept. 4, 2027, the school announced on Monday.
The matchup against the Owls will mark the fifth game between the two programs dating back to 2007, with the Gators winning the previous four meetings. They last played in 2021, with UF earning a 35-14 victory. The 2027 contest against the Jaguars will be the first time Florida and South Alabama have met in their respective programs’ histories.
The Gators have two more non-conferences opponents scheduled for the 2026 and 2027 season, including annual rival Florida State both years. UF is also scheduled to play Campbell on Sept. 12, 2026, and Charleston Southern on Sept. 11, 2027.
2025 opponents for Gators
The Gators open the season in The Swamp on Aug. 30 against Long Island University, a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). UF’s other non-conference opponents will be South Florida (Sept. 6), Miami (Sept. 20) and FSU (Nov. 29).
Florida is hosting Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas next year for its three SEC home games. The Gators also will be the home team against Georgia in Jacksonville.
