Florida Gators basketball addition Kajus Kublickas of Lithuania to arrive in Gainesville this week

Kajus Kublickas of Lithuania, a recent addition to the Florida Gators basketball program at guard, will arrive in Gainesville this week, Zach Abolverdi of Gators Online confirmed.
Kublickas, whom Gators Online first reported on in June, will get to town Wednesday.
He’s reporting for the fall semester; the first day of classes is Aug. 23. His paperwork is already official and his arrival will be announced by Florida soon.
Kublickas, listed at 6-foot-1, turns 19 on Sept. 2. He’ll be a freshman at Florida.
While playing for Zalgiris Kaunas II of the Lithuanian League this year, he averaged 8.9 points, 3.6 boards and 1.3 assists over 21 games while shooting 40 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from 3-point range.

Said Gators coach Todd Golden in a June 22 interview with Gators Online: “Kajus won’t join us until later in the summer, he’s playing on the U20 team in Lithuania this summer. So he has that commitment, is actually training with them right now.”
Golden is excited about this addition to the program … and others.
