Florida Gators basketball NCAA Tournament projections: March 15 edition
Following that disappointing road loss to Vanderbilt to close the regular season, many NCAA Tournament projections have the Florida Gators as either a 7 or an 8 seed. And that means, if you win in Round 1 you have to play a 1 or 2 seed in Round 2.
Can Todd Golden & Co. make a push for a higher seed this week at the SEC Tournament?
Well, the Gators got one win Thursday night, albeit against a mediocre Georgia team that probably won’t impress any humans or computers. But late Friday evening, Florida faces No. 19 Alabama, which is No. 8 in the NCAA Net Rankings. A win over another Quad 1 team certainly wouldn’t hurt.
Per Sportskeeda, this is what qualifies as a Quad 1 victory: “A win at home against teams ranked 1-30, win at a neutral venue against teams in the Top 50 and an away win against teams in the Top 75.”
