Florida Gators basketball NCAA Tournament projections: March 16 edition
The Florida Gators beat another ranked team Saturday night when they downed Alabama 102-88 in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. And with the win, it’s very possible Florida now will be no worse than a 7 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. But could the Gators finish as a 6 seed — or even a 5?
Next up for Florida: Saturday’s semifinal vs. Texas A&M. The winner of that matchup will face either Auburn or Mississippi State in the finals.
The Aggies, Tigers and Bulldogs would all be Quad 1 wins for Florida.
Per Sportskeeda, this is what qualifies as a Quad 1 victory: “A win at home against teams ranked 1-30, win at a neutral venue against teams in the Top 50 and an away win against teams in the Top 75.”
