Florida Gators commit makes a huge jump in rankings

The Florida Gators have a new top-ranked commitment according to the Rivals rankings after the latest update. Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem was already ranked as a 4-star in the standalone rankings on the network. The Florida commit made a huge jump, from being outside the Top 300, up to No. 88 overall in the new Rivals300. He’s the lone Florida commit currently in the Top 100.

4-star RB Carsyn Baker Florida was selective at running back this cycle. The staff made a huge move with Baker following his official visit in May. He moves up one spot to No. 134 in the latest update.

4-star WR Justin Williams A local playmaker who committed to the Florida Gators last month. He was productive as a junior at WR and RB. He moves up one spot to No. 149 in the latest Rivals300.

4-star WR Marquez Daniel The Florida Gators beat out in-state Auburn to land this 4-star pass catcher. He slips back in the latest update to No. 208 overall.

4-star ATH Heze Kent The Florida Gators most recent addition to the 2026 class. Kent is listed as an offensive tackle by Rivals, but UF has recruited Kent as a tight end.

4-star DL Kendall Guervil A massive win for the Florida Gators earlier this month over Texas. Guervil moves up one spot in the rankings update to No. 116 overall.

4-star CB CJ Bronaugh A top target for UF at the cornerback position. The Gators flipped him from Nebraska last month. He moves up one spot to No. 137 in the latest update.

4-star S Kaiden Hall The Gators lone commitment at safety this cycle. Missed a chunk of his senior year due to injury, but is back healthy. He dropped in the latest rankings update and now sits at No. 203 overall.

4-star Edge Kevin Ford A priority target for the Florida Gators, who committed to the staff this past Friday. He’s a talented edge rusher and can play both spots in Mike Peterson’s room. His ranking remains the same at 234.

Florida Gators targets in the initial Rivals300 rankings

5-star DL James Johnson (Georgia commit) – Moves up 5 spots in the latest update from No. 15 overall to No. 10 overall, and is now a 5-star at Rivals. Despite a recent commitment to Georgia, the Florida Gators are still involved with Johnson. We hear that the Gators still feel they have a shot.

4-star LB Izayia Williams (Ole Miss commit) – A former Florida commit, but flipped to Ole Miss in May. The Gators are still in touch and hosted him for an official visit last month. He slides back 10 spots in the updated rankings from No. 17 down to No. 27 in the Rivals300 update.

4-star WR Cederian Morgan (Alabama commit) – UF finished second for Morgan behind Alabama. He committed to the Crimson Tide earlier this month. He slipped back in the latest update from No. 29 down to No. 35.

4-star S Bralan Womack Womack is down to Auburn, Florida, Ohio State, and Texas A&M. He commits on August 22, and Ohio State is thought to be out in front. Womack checks in at No. 36.

4-star ATH Davian Groce Baylor, Florida, and Oklahoma are the three biggest players, but the Bears and Sooners have more buzz in their corner. He slips back to No. 54 in the latest rankings update.

4-star Edge Trenton Henderson (LSU commit) – The LSU Tigers came out on top over Florida earlier this month to land Henderson. He remains No. 77 overall in the latest update.

4-star S Devin Jackson (Oregon commit) – A former Florida commit who backed off that early pledge. Now committed to Oregon, but we expect UF to keep trying. He’s up in the latest update to No. 119.

4-star WR Somourian Wingo The Florida Gators have been a constant with Wingo since offering last summer. The Gators are battling South Carolina for the No. 153 overall player. He moves up a few spots from No. 158.

4-star DL Valdin Sone The Florida Gators love Sone, and have him high on the board this cycle. UF had more buzz in the spring, but Georgia has more chatter now. A commitment is likely to happen soon. He moves up almost 100 spots in the latest update to No. 172 overall.

4-star Edge Jake Kreul Despite naming a final three of Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Texas, we expect the Florida Gators to keep kicking the tires on Kreul. He drops almost 100 spots in the latest update to No. 175.
