Florida's complete 2025 football schedule unveiled
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The 2025 football schedule for the Florida Gators has been set. Next year’s slate was unveiled Wednesday night on SEC Network.
The most notable dates are Florida’s first road game on Sept. 13 — a Week 3 trip to LSU, which is typically in October or November — along with back-to-back games against Texas and Texas A&M in October and the final SEC contest against Tennessee on Nov. 22.
The Gators open the season in The Swamp on Aug. 30 against Long Island University, a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). UF’s other non-conference opponents will be South Florida (Sept. 6), Miami (Sept. 20) and FSU (Nov. 29).
Florida is hosting Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas next year for its three SEC home games. The Gators also will be the home team against Georgia in Jacksonville.
UF has consecutive games against the Longhorns after not playing them since 1940, which is the first and only time they came to The Swamp.
Mississippi State returns to Gainesville for the first time in 15 years. First-year MSU coach Dan Mullen upset his future team and his former boss, Urban Meyer, with a 10-7 win over the Gators in 2010.
