GAINESVILLE, Fla. — For the final time in 2022, the Florida Gators will take Steve Spurrier Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday against South Carolina. Eighteen seniors will be honored this week, however, there isn’t much roster clarity given that only nine of those are scholarship players.

This week the Gators will honor seniors while trying to do two things: send the seniors out right and gain bowl eligibility.

“It’s going to be Senior Day,” Florida coach Billy Napier said. ”Certainly, always an emotional time for those players, in particular. So, I think the good thing I see from our players is we’ve got a group that wants to send this group out the right way.”

With Justin Shorter being questionable and Ja’Quavion Fraziars unable to go, Khaleil Jackson made his depth chart debut at receiver.

Some notables from the injury report:

  • Starting left guard Ethan White was added to the injury report as questionable.
  • Linebacker Scooby Williams was upgraded from questionable to active.
  • Linebacker Diwun Black was upgraded from questionable to active.
  • Kicker Trey Smack was not on the injury report last week but sources told Gators Online that Smack missed the Texas A&M game with an injury and that showed up on the depth chart Wednesday.
