The Florida Gators finished the 2022 season with a record of 35-19, 15-15 SEC.

Just four weeks ago the Gators were 6-12 in the SEC and wondering if they would make the NCAA Tournament. Now, they’re the No. 7 seed and have a date with South Carolina on Tuesday in Hoover. The Gators just took two of three games from the Gamecocks.

“I’m proud of them. It could have went the other way, too. I don’t know in my 15 years that we’ve been six games under at any point in SEC play. That was with only 12 to go. The way they rallied, the way they played, the way they were able to pick each other up and stay the course,” Kevin O’Sullivan said of his team. “I’m really thrilled with where they’re at.”

Single-elimination action begins with four games on Tuesday, with double-elimination play beginning Wednesday. Once the tournament is whittled down to the final four teams the format returns to single elimination. The SEC Network will televise all the action prior to Sunday’s 2 p.m. championship game, which will air on ESPN2.
