Florida flips OT Jahari Medlock from Cincinnati
Atlanta (Ga.) Charles Drew offensive tackle Jahari Medlock has made a change in recruitment.
After being committed to Cincinnati since June, the 2025 prospect has now flipped his commitment to the Florida Gators. This comes after a strong return trip to Gainesville for the victory over No. 9-ranked Ole Miss.
Prior to today’s flip, Gators Online submitted multiple On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine picks for the SEC program. Florida started generating serious momentum in October though. That was during his official visit for the Kentucky game. The win over the Rebels, however, put the stamp on it.
“The environment and the school love, like, the love for football and the fan base is crazy. Everywhere we go, it’s ‘Go Gators, go Gators.’ It was crazy,” Medlock told Gators Online after the Ole Miss game. “(This visit) helped Florida a lot, actually; really a lot and better than I thought.”
Multiple Gators coaches made an impact on Medlock’s recruitment since an offer was extended in September. Much of the credit, however, goes to co-offensive line coach Jonathan Decoster.

The Florida assistant made Medlock feel like a top priority and that made a huge impact.
“The main thing that stood out to me and the message was about the way I play and my intensity,” Medlock said this fall. “They said I have high potential and a great future ahead of me. They said my best future will come out being a Gator.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, the 6-foot-6, 284-pound Medlock is the No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 576 player overall.
Additional offers for Jahari Medlock include Georgia, which recruited him for defense, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Maryland, Tulane, Marshall, Western Kentucky, Georgia Southern and Georgia State.
