Florida Gators game vs Kentucky officially sold out
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators basketball team will kick off the Southeastern Conference schedule against the Kentucky Wildcats at Exactech Arena at Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 12:30 o.m. on January 6. The Gators come into the game with a 9-3 record while Kentucky boasts a 9-2 record. Florida will host Quinnipiac on Dec. 30 prior to opening the SEC slate.
This will be the first time Florida and Kentucky open the SEC slate against each other since 1998-99.
The Gators will be wearing new orange jerseys with the “Gators” script across the front. It is believed that this will be the first time the basketball team has worn jerseys with the script Gators on the chest. The “Fast F” will also be featured prominently on the pants.
The Gators will also be looking for an “orange-out” in the stands. Free orange shirts will be given to all fans, courtesy of a sponsorship deal with Meldon Law.
With the game vs. Kentucky sold out, fans have the opportunity to purchase seats for the remaining four SEC Saturday games. The SEC Weekend 4-Pack features $189 plans in the 100 level and $99 plans in the 200 level and includes games vs. Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn and Vanderbilt.

Florida Gators’ bench getting it done
“They’ve been beating the starting five,” Samuel said of the bench’s impact. “When their name is called, they’re all ready to play. They aren’t scared of anyone. I’m happy for them. Tommy, Condo, everyone, they’re all ready. As the games go on, you can see, they’re more experienced. The game slows down, they’re scoring the baskets that they weren’t in the beginning of the season, they’re making the right plays.”
The Gators used their fifth different starting lineup of the season, with Bennett Andersen and Cooper Josefsberg making their collegiate debuts. Andersen, who was a Florida manager for three years, scored his first basket.
