Florida Gators hoops unveil new uniforms for 2023-24 season
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Out with the old, in with the new. The Florida Gators men’s basketball will have different uniforms for 2023-24, the program announced this week on social media.
UF first revealed a change was coming on Saturday, sending out a video of the four uniform combinations (orange, blue, white, black) being thrown out in an “old jerseys” bin.
The Gators then unveiled their new uniforms on Monday, beginning with the white jerseys, featuring a video shoot with sophomore guard Riley Kugel, a preseason All-SEC selection.

What’s changed with the threads? The new uniform has a more traditional look and there are no more squiggly lines on the side. It also includes a different shade of orange.
Florida released more photos of Kugel in the white jersey on Tuesday and will be debuting the new orange, blue and black uniform combinations in the near feature.
Gators Online has learned that one uniform will remain in rotation. The 1994 throwback retro jerseys from Florida’s Final Four season, brought back in 2019, are here to stay.
UF opened preseason practice on Sept. 25 and will have the Orange & Blue Scrimmage on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Exactech Arena at Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

Todd Golden on his 2023-24 roster
In a one-on-one interview with Gators Online, Golden assessed his current team and what he likes about the makeup of the roster.
“Obviously, I’m more confident now going into next year with this group we’ve been able to assemble,” he said. “I feel like we’re balanced. I feel like we have good depth and most importantly, we have pieces that mesh well together. We didn’t just go out and say, ‘Alright, we’ll get talent, talent, talent and try to figure it out.’
“I feel like we did a good job of balancing our frontcourt, we balanced our backcourt. We have shooters, we have playmakers, we have defenders, rebounders, we have guys that will play well together, which I think is the most important thing.”
