Thanks to their recent beatdown of Florida State, the Florida Gators finished the regular season 7-5. With all the conference championship games complete, here’s how the Gators rank nationally in several team statistics.

TOTAL OFFENSE
No. 81: 375.1 yards a game.
NOTES: Florida’s last 400-yard game was against Kentucky in late October — 476 yards vs. a top-five defense (at the time). The Gators then had a season-worst 228 total yards vs. Georgia — 128 after losing quarterback DJ Lagway to an injury in the second quarter. With Lagway out vs. Texas, the Gators had only 329 yards — but that’s still the most the Longhorns have allowed in a game this season. Against LSU, Florida had 339 yards. The Gators then had 344 vs. Ole Miss, but was 7 of 15 on third down.
2023: 408.8 yards per game.

SCORING OFFENSE
No. 68: 27.9 points per game.
NOTES: Florida topped the 30-point mark four times — Samford (45), Mississippi State (45), Kentucky (48) and FSU (31). On the flip side, the Gators played three of the top-five teams in scoring defense — No. 2 Texas, t4. Ole Miss/Tennessee.
2023: 28.4

TOTAL DEFENSE
No. 92: 392.2 yards allowed per game.
NOTES: Florida made a nice jump (up from 104) after holding FSU to 239 yards. The Gators’ first three Power 4 opponents gained 529, 488 and 480 yards, respectively, vs. Florida. Tennessee had only 312 and Kentucky gained just 309. After Georgia picked up 455 yards and Texas gained 562, the Gators held LSU to 392. Ole Miss had 464 yards vs. Florida, but was ineffective in the red zone.
2023: 382.3 yards allowed per game.

SCORING DEFENSE
No. 63: 24.33 points allowed per game.
NOTES: Outside of the Texas game in particular (47 points allowed), and also the Georgia game (34), the Gators had respectable numbers the final nine weeks of the season.
2023: 27.6 points allowed per game.

OFFENSE: THIRD DOWN CONVERSION %
No. 89: 37.9%
NOTES: The Gators are 55 of 145 for the season.
2023: 34.7%

DEFENSE: THIRD DOWN CONVERSION %
No. 86: 40.9%
NOTES: Opponents were 70 of 171 on third down vs. the Gators. The highlight probably was the Ole Miss game; the Rebels were only 3-14.

RUSHING OFFENSE
No. 75: 156.0 yards per game.
NOTES: The Gators have rushed 417 times for 1,872 yards — 4.49 yards a carry. They have 24 rushing touchdowns. Freshman Jadan Baugh is Florida’s leading rusher with 603 yards on 5.1 yards per attempt.

RUSHING DEFENSE
No. 81: 156.2 yards per game.
NOTES: The Gators allowed a combined 550 rushing yards in their outings against Texas A&M and Mississippi State. But they held Tennessee to 143, Kentucky to 144 and Georgia to 146. Texas had 210 yards on only 31 carries. But LSU was held to 130 yards rushing and Ole Miss had 141 — with 71 coming from QB Jaxson Dart. Florida held FSU to 99 rushing yards.

PASSING OFFENSE
No. 78: 219.1 yards per game.
NOTES: Of the Gators’ 2,316 passing yards overall this season, 466 came against Samford. In their defense, two different starters have been injured. Florida passed for 226 yards vs. LSU, 180 against Ole Miss and only 133 against FSU. Lagway is 93 of 157 (59.2%) for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
2023: 259.3.

PASSING YARDS ALLOWED
No. 98: 236.0 yards allowed per game.
NOTES: In Week 1, Miami’s Cam Ward threw for 385 yards against the Gators. Georgia passed for 309 yards vs. Florida. Texas had 352. Ole Miss had 323. Opponents averaged 7.24 yards per attempt, which is a solid number for Florida.

TURNOVER MARGIN
No. 37: 0.42 a game.
NOTES: The Gators won the turnover margin 3-1 against Ole Miss and 5-1 against FSU. That was a huge factor in both games. Florida has gained 22 turnovers and lost 17.

TEAM SACKS
No. 8: 3.17 a game.
NOTES: Florida sacked LSU seven times. The Tigers had allowed only six sacks all season entering the game. The Gators then recorded four more sacks vs. Ole Miss and a season-high eight vs. FSU.

NOTES: The Gators recorded a combined 34 tackles for loss in their past three games.
