Gators on the road this weekend
The Gators are 5-5 (3-4 SEC) as they head into their season finale against the Missouri Tigers. Missouri enters the game 8-2 (4-2 SEC) and ranked No. 14 in the country. The Tigers have been a surprise team this season and just steamrolled Tennessee 36-7. After the game, Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz joked that his team was the “Tennessee State Champions” after beating both Tennessee and Vanderbilt. The team he’ll play this week also boasts wins over both Tennessee schools inside the conference.
Florida head coach Billy Napier and Drinkwitz have a history dating back to the Sun Belt when Napier coached Louisiana and Drinkwitz led Appalachian State.

“I think it’s really systematic on offense. I think they do a good job. They play with balance. They’re committed to a run game that is well-designed. I think the new coordinator has implemented some concepts in the throw game, but they’re doing a good job using the skill they’ve got,” Napier said on Monday. “I think the back’s a good player. They’re getting pretty good play from a couple of tight ends. I think their front is playing well. I think that gets overlooked. Then the skill players, the receiver group has — you know, they’re all a little bit different, and I think they do a good job utilizing that group.”
